Channel 02, Pre-Production

Pre-production

AI and traditional ads, planned before anything is made.

We make ads for brands across India, with AI production, traditional production, or both together. Pre-production is where a film is won or lost. It turns an idea into a plan the whole team can follow: what we make, how it looks, who it needs and what it takes, all agreed before the first shot.

We start with the brief

Every project begins with listening. What is being sold or said, who it is for, and where it will run: on a television, on a phone, or both. We also ask what the film has to do. Some films introduce a brand. Some launch a product. Some simply need to make people feel something. Knowing which comes first guides every decision after it.

A clear brief saves time and money later. If you arrive with a page of notes, a rough script or only a feeling, we ask the questions that turn it into something we can build.

Then we shape the idea

We write the script and the treatment, a short document that describes the film in words before anything is made. We draw the storyboards frame by frame, and we set the look and tone: colour, light, music and pace.

This is also where we choose the right medium for each scene: a camera on location, a built world, or both in one frame. Choosing early keeps the project on course and avoids surprises on the day.

You see and approve the plan before we shoot, so changes happen on paper, where they are quick and simple.

Some ads are best made the traditional way, with a camera, a crew and real locations. Some are best made with AI, which can create scenes, products and worlds from a description. Many are best made with both. We recommend the approach at this stage, so you know what you are choosing and why.

How it works

From first conversation to a plan you can approve.

  1. 01BriefWe listen, ask questions and write down what the film needs to do.
  2. 02Script and treatmentThe idea becomes words: the story, the voice and the shape of the film.
  3. 03Storyboard and lookFrame-by-frame drawings, plus references for colour, light and tone.
  4. 04Plan and schedulePeople, places, equipment and dates, agreed before the shoot begins.
  5. 05ApprovalYou sign off the plan, so production starts with everyone on the same page.
