1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Laltern Pictures (Gurugram, India, “we” or “us”). They cover your use of Laltern Pictures. Please read them. By using the site you agree to them.
Your legal rights come first. Nothing in these terms takes away or limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal information.
2. Who can use the site
You must be at least 18. If you are under 18 and live in India, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms.
3. Using the site fairly
Do not:
- break any law;
- infringe other people’s rights;
- upload malware;
- try to get into systems or data you are not allowed to access;
- scrape the site or overload it;
- impersonate anyone;
- use the contact forms to send spam.
4. Our intellectual property
The site, and our content, films, pictures, design, logos and software, belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to view the site as intended. We reserve all rights in our content against text and data mining, including for AI training, except where the law allows it without permission.
5. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or that was caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our liability for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country.
6. Changing these terms or the site
Important changes take effect at least 30 days after we tell you. Small changes, such as clarifications, take effect when we publish them. We may change or withdraw parts of the site for good reasons, such as legal requirements or security.
7. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first at hello@lalternpictures.com, or use our complaints page. In India you can also contact our Grievance Officer (see our Grievance page), the National Consumer Helpline (1915 / consumerhelpline.gov.in), or a consumer commission where you live.
Governing law and courts. These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live, and we can only bring a claim against you in those courts.
8. General
- These terms and the documents they link to are the whole agreement between us about the site.
- If a court decides any part is invalid, the rest stays in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
